I’m Steve Koontz, owner of Keep It Watered.
Since 2015, I’ve helped teachers incorporate hydroponic gardening into their classrooms. I’ve worked with schools using different growing systems, and I know that getting the equipment is only part of the process.
My goal is to help you become confident in growing with your system so you can focus on what matters most—helping your students learn through growing.

That’s okay. I also offer hydroponic training and support packages for schools that purchased systems through another distributor.

Is training included with my purchase?
Yes, systems purchased through Keep It Watered include training and ongoing support. Depending on the distance from northern Indiana and the number of systems purchased, the school might need to pay travel costs for in-person training. There is never a charge for video training and phone/email support.
What does training cover?
Training covers setup, planting, maintenance, and incorporating the garden into classroom learning.
What if I bought my system somewhere else?
Training and support packages are available.
Can you help me use the hydroponic system in my curriculum?
Yes. Keep It Watered provides lesson plans and classroom resources for hydroponic gardening.
Can you help if a plant isn’t growing well?
Yes, I’ve had extensive experience growing plants indoors and can troubleshoot growing problems.
